Hi Gerry, that it is a common problem to keep the fluidity in between position shifts. Right now I haven’t filmed any lessons like that yet but I will do when I film again. Happy picking and thanks for the comment!

Hi, great site! I was wondering if you have videos on legatos which i’m really having a problem with, as long as I stay in the “box” I have no problem it’s when I try to ascend and descend from say the 1st fret to the 12th fret it doesn’t sound to good I can’t seem to get it to sound fluid. THANKS!

Nice one Jeff, Classic licks are the way to go. You really get to learn a lot by studying the classic vocabulary of each style. Looks out for some Classic Lick Vids.

Hi Elena, 100%! I made a note and will cover this in my next videos. In the meantime check out these chromatic patterns. They're great for improving technique. Slash is awesome and I'll do some of his licks. One of the solo's in the upcoming course is Slash Style solo. More Knocking On Heaven's Door style but November Rain is epic for sure! Happy Picking! What about starting from the beginning , that is : how to pick individual notes cause often one gets the wrong ones. I know it’s for beginners, so I don’t expect this course to be this level but if it were possible to start from there it would be great. Then I would say… what about licks like Johnny Cash’s Personal Jesus or Slash’s november rain solo?

I’d like to see some lessons where you teach a complete solo and offer some tips on improvising and soloing in general. Also it would be helpful to learn some classic licks from guys like Eric Clapton, Slash, Dave Gilmour and the likes. If you could also add some technique and theory exercises that will be very cool. Nothing too hardcore but just enough so I can understand the guitar better. Thanks for the lessons, very helpful and great quality videos. Thanks!
